This was the first mid week event ever organised by the Village Association, and it proved to be a great success. Held on Tuesday 5th March at Caroline and Darren's home nearly £200 was raised in aid of Dementia UK.
Flaxby villagers showed off their expertise in baking and decorating cakes. Shirley won the prize for the Best Decorated Bake, and Sheelagh won the prize for the Best Tasting Bake. Other fund-raising attractions included a quiz, guess the number of jelly babies in the jar, and a tombola.
Our thanks to Caroline for organising the event, to all the helpers, all those who contributed cakes and tombola prizes, and to all those who attended.After all that cake the new diets can start now. How about a fund raising event for the most weight lost ?
