As well as organising social events, the association has clocked up a good track record of successes over the years as follows:
- Bulb planting on the village green
- Protective stones on the roadside.
- Donation by Chippindales of a copper beech tree, planted near Morrisons.
- Litter picking through the village and beyond.
- Maintaining verges around the village signs.
- Bulb planting outside Morrisons.
- Constructing the village noticeboard.
- White posts around the village green.
- Crown lifting the tree on the green.
- Maintaining the village bench seat.
- Jubilee tree planting and stone on the green.
- Liaising with Morrisons to reduce low frequency noise, reduce floodlight glare, keep wagons out of the village, provide adequate signposting, and maintain the verge outside its premises
- No Cold Calling Zone
- Flaxby History Group
- Maintaining the tradespeople directory
- Organising action groups, eg Flaxby Action Group
- Orchestrating opposition to proposed development of the golf course.
- Providing input to the parish council newsletter.
- Production of newsletter for the parish. (for Goldsborough and Flaxby)
- New Flaxby Neighbourhood Watch Scheme
- Publication of 'Flaxby Matters'
- Publication of this blog.
- New stone and commemorative plaque for Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
