Garden party provides ray of sunshine for villagers

Bright spot ... the timing of the party was
perfect with one of the few fine weather days.
The social committee staged its annual summer garden party and saw 45 villagers turn out in sunshine for another successful event.

While events across the county were being cancelled, perfect timing meant our gathering was rewarded with superb weather along with great food and entertainment.

Hosted by Darren and Caroline Greenhalgh, the party was the latest in the series of get-to-know-your-neighbour events.

Other activities lined up for the rest of the year include a Knaresborough walk, the autumn quiz at the Tiger Inn at Coneythorpe and the Christmas carol singing and charity auction.

Cheers: John Fowler
(front) and Bob Hearld.
The committee is already working on a series of exciting events for next year and will be in touch shortly.

Remember to look out for social committee news in our newsletters which are issued usually in March and September.
