The site to the south west of Junction 47, A1(M), known to Harrogate planners as 'Harrogate 47' has been sold. Access to the site is from the roundabout on the A59 close to the motorway junction.
Former owners, Forward Investments LLP, had obtained planning consent for industrial and commercial use offering potential employment for 2,840 FTE jobs, in addition to part funding the cost of the new roundabout. Various public consultation meetings were held in 2016.
New owners, Opus North and Bridges Fund Management say they will now progress a revised masterplan.
No details are yet known as to the timing of this.
